Let’s Dominate December!

Is anyone else having a hard time believing it is already December?!  Where in the WORLD did November go? I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your loved ones. We have our first Thanksgiving as a married couple in the books and I must say, it was a fantastic one. We were able to fit in a lot of time with our families and even were able to meet up with some friends.  Our house was filled with lots of laughter, games, naps, full bellies, drinks, and smiles all weekend!

Guinness was in heaven for 5 days! He was constantly playing with someone or cuddling on someone. Such a spoiled puppy! Back to reality today buddy… kennel time!

25 days until Christmas!! That is insane to me. This is such an exciting time of year but also an easy time to lose your motivation with staying healthy and working out that body. Many people throw it all away during this time and set a goal come the new year. New Years resolutions are great and I have them every year but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to take care of myself in December and ruin all of the hard work I have been doing. If its a priority, you will make it fit into your schedule.

Starting today, Nick and I are doing a 21 days of “No Junk Food” challenge. I don’t think this one will be too difficult for us, but will help keep those extra December temptations away. Yes you will notice I timed this to be sure the 21 days are complete and I can indulge a little during Christmas 🙂

I am still loving the HIIT workouts during this time of year. I get to the gym for my 4 days on, 1 day off lifting program 3-4 times a week. When I can’t make the gym possible, I get a HIIT workout in at home. I’m a huge fan of variation in workouts and think its the best way to see results. I will post more of these workouts this week

It can be hard to enjoy this wonderful time of year if you do not feel good about yourself. Dominate this December with healthy choices, kick butt workouts, and of course indulging in moderation.  Do something that will make you feel better about yourself today! DAY 1 of December… make it a good one!
