MONDAY!! I hope you are all having a great start to your week and had an awesome weekend! We had a much needed, low key weekend at home and changed up our bedroom which was a lot of fun! First, lets touch on workouts and goals before we jump into our bed 😉
WORKOUTS: Last week was week 5 of 12 in Kayla Itsine’s BBG. Being completely honest, this was the first week I have felt “not into it” during this challenge. Had absolutely nothing to do with her workouts. I was having an “off” week for many reasons and shrugged two of her workouts off which later came back to bite me in the butt because I did both of them back to back on Saturday to catch up, followed by a three mile run with the puppies and my body is feeling it too much today. Into week six now and excited to know I will be half way through after this week. I’m still lifting 4 days a week and squeezing in a little bit of cardio.
Goals: This week my goals are to 1) concentrate on my water intake for more than 2 days 2) eat breakfast every morning within the first hour of being awake (I have a habit of not eating until 9:30 or so) 3) take advantage of this amazing weather and realistically run my puppies 3 times. READY SET GO!
Now… please, step into my bedroom! Nick and I have pretty small bedrooms in our Home. We have been in our house for 1 year now and there really isn’t a time when we don’t have a project going on, but we really enjoy the projects and making our house our own. The latest was to tackle our master bedroom. When we first moved in we pieced together whatever furniture we had or was thrown at us and we are so thankful for that! True story: Our puppies got us motivated to upgrade our queen bed to a king bed, which meant getting rid of every piece of furniture and getting all new because our current furniture was way too bulk to squeeze a king bed into our small room. As you may have picked up on, our dogs are a little spoiled and just MAY sleep in bed with us. Don’t judge me too hard, we don’t have real human babies yet 🙂 A queen just wasn’t cutting it for two grown adults and two big dogs. We simplified the room with a headboard that we made, two matching tall chests (his and hers), a king bed, new rug, and extended our drapes further out on our wall which made a world of difference! We also have a walk-in closet which is nice to store our clothing. I’m blessed to have a husband who loves projects and when he starts one… it needs to be done NOW, in his mind. That comes with it’s challenges, believe me! But the job gets done and we are both so happy with our new space and big bed.
After sending pictures to my Mom and hearing her praise how much she loved it and saying “good job nick”??!! your daughter helped as well lady! She said “Now, all you have to do is keep the puppies off of your bed!” I sent her these photos…. no such luck Mother 🙂
