Happy Friday to YOU! I hope you all had a great week and are excited for the weekend. It’s going to be a nice one here so I will be spending as much time outside as possible. Running and playing fetch with those crazy puppies and watching Nick’s team win some baseball games. Can’t wait!
If you have been reading My Goodness for any length of time, it comes to no surprise that I am a HUGE fan of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts. Jumping into the HIIT world on a treadmill though is somewhat new to me, and I’m loving it!
When I workout over my lunch hour, I am extremely limited on time. I literally have 5-11 minutes to squeeze in cardio in order to also get my lift complete within the hour. A girlfriend recommended a treadmill HIIT workout and oh boy! I’m hooked. I think this can relate to a lot of my readers because many of you are limited on time to workout in your busy busy life. I was in the routine of jumping on a treadmill and running on an incline, at a consistent speed for my cardio, or doing the elliptical or stair climber. But these HIIT workouts burn SO many more calories and keep your body working hours after your workout. I did the above cardio session a couple times this week and it left me feeling great and sore the following days! The incline really works that bottom. It kicks my booty and gets my sweat going before my lift. Can you tell I’m a tad bit excited about this? 😉 Something new, that I love, and will give results= a MUST to share with you!
There are so many benefits to HIIT workouts, I have listed just a handful here ….
