Guest Bedroom Facelift **budget friendly**

Hello hello! How is your week going? I am beyond excited for the upcoming holiday weekend. Family, camping, boating, meeting Caitlin’s baby boy and my husband’s birthday all land on this weekend and the countdown is officially ON!

Nick and I have been in our first home for 1 1/2 years and it has been project after project since the day we moved in. We knew this when we bought our house and have really had fun turning it into a home that we love. It is a never ending list, but one step at a time! We recently gave our Guest Bedroom a much needed little facelift. We jumped into this project quicker than anticipated because my stepdad was coming to visit, and he lays our flooring, so we decided since we were going to be ripping up the carpet and replacing it, we should just update the room a little. Being we started this project a little early, staying on a tight budget was key for me. IMG_4007

With a little DIY on our part (painting the walls, painting our existing trim instead of buying new, creating a rustic chic wood half wall and staining it, instead of buying a headboard, making a rustic/industrial shelf, and adding in some personal touches) we were able to give this room a little update for less than $150.  We still have to put up our white closet doors and white blinds, we will also be adding a tall dresser like the ones in OUR MASTER BEDROOM FACELIFT, once we have more of a need for the storage. We like having a cozy little setup for when guests stay, and most importantly of course… the puppies love it 😉

What is your favorite project you have taken on in your home?? Thanks for checking out one of our projects 🙂
